Beavers, Pieces of the Puzzle #1
Pepper and I set out to get our second piece of the puzzle this week.
These beautiful flowers are coming up in the woods right now -- Trillium.
This geocache was a 2-stage multi, along a short hike. Near the beginning, we hid a cache that Pepper had ready..."Along the Way." This is the nearby stream.
Pepper heads off across the bridge, to look back at the stump where we hid the cache.
The sun came out to shine down on the beaver Pond.

Pepper spied an unnatural (and very small) rope winding up the tree. The cache was hidden in moss and suspended next to the tree. It was certainly out of reach of the beavers!
Can you see it?
The beavers have taken their toll on some of the trees in the area. Some of the trees have chickenwire around the base, in an effort to prevent more wanton beaver destruction. :)
We saw the beaver lodge as we left the area.
The Last Resort, a multicache by the evil Dr. Ufo Koska
We've been working on a series of incredibly devious hides by the altered of a local geocacher. This find means we've got them all! Until he places a new one, that is...
Pepper's daughters, Lila & Nikki, helped us out today.
A view from the last waypoint (a small piece of paper for us to sign).
