In and Around Redmond, Washington

Excursions to: Redmond, Sammamish, and Woodinville
Tiki's Temple, a walk in the woods
It took us a while to find the roads leading to this park, but once there the trail was obviously marked.
We've had a lot of rain the past few weeks, so this area was filled with big ferns growing among the moss-covered trees.
And, in some cases, growing out of the moss-covered trees.
Jeff combed through the underbrush, dead leaves, and ferns....finally uncovering the cache.
The hiding spot was beneath the group of ferns in the center -- tough to spot!
The Evil Overlook, so named because it looks down into the valley where so many "evil" and devious microcaches have been hidden lately.
This one is an easy find, with a quick walk along a pipeline (see it near the bottom center).
Cindy found the cache tucked into the trees right behind this silver barrel.
But not before we spent some time a bit deeper in the woods.
King's Ransom, in a park right next to the Interstate.
One of the clues was the highway sign (which you can sort of make out in the background, over Aurie's head). The cache was tucked in between these two trees, right at the fence. We had to really poke around and dig to find it.
Cul de Cache, the last of 5 for the day
(we didn't get photos of the first one, but we did of this last one)
This cache is right next to the home (pictured through the trees) of the president of the Washington State Geocaching Association -- Seth!
Seth is a great guy, and he has a super cute son (Adrian) who helps him hide and search for caches.
