Nature in Suburbia

Excursions to: the Totem Lake area, near I-405 on the Eastside of Lake Washington

Freeway Cache

Aurie enjoyed the open meadow. This was a quick find for us.

Secret Log

Jeff and Aurie at the entrance to this small, undeveloped, neighborhood park.

Just a small space tucked in the middle of a quiet neighborhood -- must be a fun spot for kids to play.

The hiding place was fun -- a plastic jar slipped into the end of a hollow log lying on the ground.

?Exchange Rate

This was a fun geocache, mostly because of the great tree we got to explore. After poking around the roots for a bit, we realized that the cache must be up higher.

Jeff finally climbed up the natural steps, and found the small cache (a foreign coin exchange) nestled in the crook of the branches.
