Excursions to: A Small Beachfront Park on the Puget Sound
Got Change for a Sand Dollar?
This was a fun park on a small beach. Among other things, it's a nesting area for Great Herons, a spot to see sand dollars spitting water, and a place to find mussels.
Cindy and Aurie head down the path to the beach.
It was a rainy day, and the tide was too high for us to see any sand dollars, but it was still a nice walk to a pretty spot.
A view of the grey sky and water.
This is a neat neighborhood -- nice houses, but not the mansions you see closer to the city.
There was also a small stream heading out to the water.
Jeff found some cool shells.
And then we went back into the woods, where Cindy found her 100th geocache -- yay!!!!
There was even a travel bug to take in celebration.
