Bugs & Ducks

Excursions to: 3 geocache spots in Issaquah and Sammamish

Mama's Lode Social Club, an exclusive cache for travel bugs

Aurie stands on top of the cache -- she found it at the same time that Cindy spotted it beneath the wood plank.

We stopped by this one in order to drop off our latest travel bug, Globe-A-Go-Go!

Yellow Lake, a nice stroll beside a duck pond

The first clue was out on a dock on the small lake. The lake got more and more misty while we were there.

There were a few ducks, and we brought bread (as was suggested by the cache owners). However, the ducks were quite skittish. We noticed they were all male/female pairs, so maybe it's nesting season???

You can see 3 pairs here.

After the dock, we took a short hike to the side of the lake to find the cache. This is a shot of the mist rising off the water behind the trees.

Cindy and Aurie ahead on the trail.

Jeff spots the cache beneath an old log.

Traditions Zapper

A quick and easy geocache near the pond -- we found this in a residential neighborhood. You can't see it here, but this is beneath a large power supply area (lots of pulls and humming wires).

One of the largest cache containers, but not much in it (this was a large plastic candy jar).
