An afternoon of Multicaching, Wind, and Wings

Excursions to: quick stops on the eastside and a nice walk in a wildlife viewing area

Multi-Cache Mania

This geocaching excursion required that we find 3 other geocaches first -- each had a necessary clue in the logbook. Once we got those, we were able to figure the final coordinates.

The park had an interesting feature -- the water tower was painted to fade into the background.

Jeff found the actual cache, tucked in between the fence and the tree. It was buried beneath about 6 inches of pine needles! (no one had been there in a few months)

Wind and Wing

A beautiful spot to the east of Redmond -- this is a Game & Fish area. There are many birdhouses, open prairie and wetlands, and a wildlife viewing platform.

We were lucky enough to be there during a spectacular sunset. Our camera didn't do the colors justice.

The mountains were off in the distance -- and a small stream meandered past the cache location.

Aurie near the base of the viewing tower.

We didn't climb the tower this time around, but we'll go back sometime and see what wildlife might come through.

We had a great view of the mountains over the fields of grass.

The cache was located next to the old wind mill.

There was a farm off in the distant valley, and mist rising up near the house.

We left a travel bug (tomaski's rabbit bug) behind.
