Trees, Stumps, & Ferns

Excursions to: Short hikes in Redmond and Woodinville
Multi-Use Trail, near our neighborhood
This was a new geocache that appeared just up the road from our house. It's a neat trail that goes from Marymoor park on up the hill...for bikes, hikes, and even horses.
There were lots of cool old stumps on this trail.
Another stump, covered in ferns.
And the stump for which we searched -- with the cache behind it!
I left a special travel bug in this cache. It's on the way to Salt Lake City, where Tammy will pick it up and send it back. Hopefully, it will continue back and forth for a while. You can read all about Cedric on his travel bug web page.
Once Cedric was placed, we walked back to the car and headed north to Woodinville.
Flatland 4 - Completing the Square
This was a fun cache, with a puzzle to solve before we left the house. The cache itself was full of plastic animals to trade. We took an orca and left a turtle.
As you can see, this trail was surrounded by ferns and tall trees.
The cache was hidden beneath a log. Next to the cache was a very bedraggled toy. Someone must have left it behind, even if it didn't fit in the box.
The next cache was just up the road...
Oy to the world
This was probably the easiest find ever. We parked, walked 60 feet, and saw the container.
