Excursions to: caches in and around Mt. Vernon, Washington

A Big Rock with Big Views

 

The title of the cache says it all. :)

The Peanut Butter Brigade was celebrating two milestones. One was Pepper finding her 700th cache.

Can you see her in the middle of these bushes? She found it!

 

Pepper, Donna, and Lucy hold up 7 -- 0 -- 0 in front of the Big Rock.

 

From the top, we had incredible views of the Skagit Valley and its surrounding mountains.

 

Off in the distance, to the north, is the peak of Mt. Baker.

Our other big milestone of the day was Lucy's birthday! We celebrated with cake and silliness.

The "big rock" is actually the Hoag Memorial Park. There were also two geological survey markers (you can see one of the round disks above the sign).
