Excursions to: caches in and around Mt. Vernon, Washington

Donna, Lucy, and Pepper take one more look at the farmland below before we head back down.

Collecting our things, taking some photos, and getting ready to leave.

Cindy waves at the camera (yes, I know it's a silly hat!).

Mt. Baker is just off to the upper right above my waving hand. You can (sort of) make out the white peaks through the leftover fog/haze.

Before we reached the car, we hid a new cache: Dragonfly Pond.

Mount Vernon Malaise

This multi-cache took us from park to park in Mt. Vernon.

Cindy attempted to climb a carved tree...but just couldn't get her claws into it.

Mt. Vernon Malaise and Big Cache at Little Mountain both brought us to another beautiful view. This time we looked west toward the Puget Sound. You can just barely make it out between the promontories.

Unfortunately, we had a hazy day (it was foggy when we first approached Mt. Vernon).

We took some last photos for our geocaching friend, Moun10bike.

Pepper, Donna, and Lucy do their special monarchy-wave (at passing cars). Yes, it was a silly day.

Cindy takes a turn....

The three of us test our peanut butte/-receiption hypo\thesis.

Did I mention it was a silly day?
