A Surprise Cache June 25, 2003 Excursions to: Cherry Cache, near Duvall. This is a special cache with a surprise at the end. These photos will spoil the surprise, so don't view them if you plan to do the cache.

Cherry Cache Pepper brought the twins, and I brought Aurie, and we headed off to do a cache that everyone says is very special. We stopped at a bridge to leave our own cache, On the Way #2. We also left a cache (Metal Mouth) near the trailhead.
Here's Lila leaning up against one of the huge trees near our surprise destination.

And there's the surprise! It's a beautiful set of waterfalls with a pool of water below.
Nikki and Lila were the first to get their toes wet, but Pepper and Cindy followed shortly.     Click here to see larger version of photo.

We had a great picnic on the sandy beach. Believe it or not, we actually played and had lunch BEFORE we searched for the cache. It must have been an amazing location!
Aurie enjoyed the cool water.
There were even fresh water mussels of some sort. The water was also full of minnows and snails.
The water was too cold to venture out very far, but Nikki braved it for a bit of exploring.
