Our First Bog
Excursions to: Scriber Lake & Bog
The BOG, a multi-cache
This time we headed to a wetlands park that lives on top of a bog.
A bog is a lake/pond area that is covered with deep layers of fallen wood and foliage -- trees and other things then grow from the floating wood.
Jeff and Aurie on the trail. The wood chip part of the trail is very springy. It was great to walk on, since it was cushioned and gave a bit.
Part of the lake is exposed, and we had boardwalk for that portion of the trail.
These lily pad chairs were part of our first clue.
There were many ducks and water birds on the pond, and it was a beautiful day to be bird-watching.

Cindy gets the cache from the side of the trail.
We left a travel bug, Scumbug. Took another travel bug, Snorkles the Traveling Top.
I placed the Top in another cache Monday, since its playing keep-a-way from Moun10bike (one of the busiest geocachers in the Seattle area).
