096 On the Road to Victory, outside Alexandria

We made a quick stop at a geocache just outside of Alexandria. It was on a small loop trail in a rest area (very nice rest areas in Minnesota). As you can tell, it was dark by the time we came back to the car.

Cindy left our first travel bug, Beam-Me-Up, a Star Trek sound effects gadget.

Make sure you click through to the above link to see the info. And, while you're there, check out Tammy's (geomorph's) log to see another photo of her.

Tammy grabbed it to take back to the Salt Lake Area.

097 Alex, in Alexandria

Cindy's been to Alexandria before, and she was pretty sure she knew just what this virtual cache was. Yup, it's Olie the Viking Statue, celebrating the "birthplace of America."

Alexandria City Park

Our aunt Katy came with us for her first geocaching adventure. We had fun seeing the sights, visiting a new vineyard there, and getting in a few quick geocaches.

Tammy & Katy follow the GPS.

Tammy gets the geocache.

Katy rifles through the cache contents with her ultra cool walking stick.

Tammy navigates through the wooded area next to a small lake.
