Our First Geocaching Experience!
Excursions to: Marymoor Park, Spots around the Eastside, & the Snoqualmie Falls area
Potluck & Quilting Bee Memorial Cache, located in Marymoor Park (Redmond, WA)
This is it -- our first ever geocaching adventure. We chose this because it was very close to our house (and had easy 1 ratings).
We took a leisurely stroll through the off-leash dog area. Our dog, Aurie (the white one) had a wonderful time. There are trails all over the place, tons of dogs to play with, and even a small river to swim in. The cache is actually located outside of the off-leash area, but it was fun to walk through.
Cindy Finds the Cache!
We ran into another group who was searching in the same area, but we still dove in past the prickly blackberries and found the cache.
Took nothing, left some Crayola Cards.
Slater, a Neighborhood Cache in Kirkland, WA
It took us a bit of searching, but we finally found this geocache (right next to a major highway).
We took a neat seashell and left one of Jeff's travel CDs.
Jeff records our names and comments in the notebook.
Swoosh Park, in Redmond, WA
This was an interesting play on words (the park is called Nike Park). It's a small neighborhood park, buried in the trees.
Jeff heads off in the direction indicated by our GPS unitt.
We came out in a clearning next to barbed wire and an old army barracks.
Jeff shows off the sidewalk chalk we decided to take from the stash. We left a Peruvian pottery flute/whistle.
