Unexpected Cache Part 2, Short Trail Near Golf Course
After going back to try one that we couldn't find before (and couldn't find again, even after an hour of searching), we headed to an easy trail and geocache.
This one led us to a small group of trees near a golf course. The cache was a bit tough to get at, with all the branches and brambles, but we got it!
Cindy stands over the Geocache. We left a mystery CD and Aurie insisted that we take the Sled Dog Travel Bug (see the last photos on this page).
Mother's Day Cache, at Pine Lake Park
This was another fairly easy one, not too far along a trail in a small city park. Jeff found this Cache.
Jeff pulls out a few things to make room for another mystery CD (it's got the big circle and the number 1 on it).
Jeff writes in the log book, while Aurie looks on.
We headed to try one last multi-cache, but Jeff got stung several times by a wasp (poor Jeff!) so we headed home to treat them. Between a stinging nettle that caught between his toes, and the wasp stings, Jeff is battlescarred this week!
Aurie slept it off on the porch -- here she is posed with Nook the Husky (her travel bug).
We'll place Nook a bit further north in the next couple of weekends (when we head up toward Mt. Baker for a more alpine hike). Photos & Information Uploaded: September 30, 2002
