Part I: Our First Multi-Cache

Excursions to: Four Parks on or near Lake Sammamish

Sammamish Sunrise, parks along a 5-mile stretch of the west side of the Lake Sammamish

We walk to this park several times a week (it's just a few blocks from our house), so Cindy knew exactly where to find the first clue. I've highlighted it on the photo.

Notice that we are breaking the rule (no dogs allowed within 150 feet of the waterfront).

However....

We weren't the only ones breaking the rule. The dog behind the sign was actually playing fetch in the water, while Aurie looked on.

When the beach shuts down at the end of the summer, and the lifeguards are gone, this park empties out. Dogs and dog owners take over! :)

Once we had the clue, Jeff worked through the math problem in the clue. With that figured out, we could search for the next clue on the other side of the park.

The cache was in an area that we walk past all the time, but it's hard to find small film canisters buried beneath wood chips and leaves!

Earlier in the week, we'd logged our first benchmark in the same park.

After finding the micro-cache at Idylwood, we headed to the next coordinates. They took us to a small neighborhood park.

The coordinates for the next stop were on the back of the park bench.
