Part II: Our First Multi-Cache

Excursions to: Four Parks on or near Lake Sammamish

Sammamish Sunrise, parks along a 5-mile stretch of the west side of the Lake Sammamish

The third park is really interesting. There's a very small parking area just off the side of a rather busy street. Within minutes, though, you can't hear the traffic -- as you can see from this photo, the trees and ferns are quite thick.

The trail goes from Lake Sammamish all the way to Lake Washington. It follows greenbelt areas set up throughout the city of Bellevue in order to preserve the forest.

Luckily, we didn't have to hike the entire route.

However, what we did hike was a killer hill. Here's Jeff on a flat area (you can see the slope going down to his side).

The rain had started coming down pretty hard by this time, and even under the trees we were getting wet.

After much searching and going back & forth on the intense incline, we finally got a better fix and found the area.

Jeff spotted the micro-cache (which he's holding in his hands). Good eyes Jeff!

The micro-cache provided our 4th clue (more coordinates), and we headed to the next spot -- Sunrise Park.
